WomenBuild Day declared by Governor |

Governor Tim Pawlenty declared June 13 WomenBuild Day in Minnesota.
To honor the event, First Lady Mary Pawlenty hosted a reception at the Governor’s Residence. Arkansas First Lady Janet Huckabee flew into the Twin Cities for the day, where she volunteered onsite at the WomenBuild home at Ripley Gardens before attending the reception. Mrs. Huckabee chairs the National Governor’s Association (NGA) Spouses’ Leadership Committee. Nationwide, governor’s spouses will join women volunteers in building homes as part of “First Families Building Homes Across America.” |
