11 Heritage Park development homes dedicated PDF Print E-mail
On June 17, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity dedicated 11 homes in Heritage Park, a mixed income development in the Near North Neighborhood of Minneapolis.

The dedication was a celebration of several years of work that culminated in eleven families who received decent, affordable homes. One of the new Habitat homeowners, Abdullahi Samatar said, “We are excited to buy a house. Our dream has come true. We will become good ambassadors. As one of our sons said, ‘We are a Habitat family.’”

Congregations Building Community, a faith-based community organizing group, was the lead development sponsor. Several dozen community partners, government officials, sponsors, and in-kind donors as well as thousands of volunteers contributed to the construction of the homes.
