Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity uses volunteer labor to assist in building homes with and for low-income families. Property Maintenance Volunteers help in the maintenance of lots before construction begins and when construction commences. Volunteer ImpactThis job is critical because the volunteer keeps newly laid sod, landscaping, and grass seed alive from the moment construction ends to the moment that homebuyers become owners. SkillsAbility to water and mow during the spring, summer, and fall. Volunteers will also assist with snow removal in the winter. The volunteer must have a flexible time schedule and be able to work on an on-call basis. Age RequirementsThe minimum age requirement to volunteer alone is 18. Time CommitmentVery flexible.
