ReStore offers in-kind donor opportunity PDF Print E-mail

Twin Cities Habitat’s newly-opened ReStore is in need of in-kind donations.  Whether the basement’s finally finished or the last nail has been pounded, ReStore can be the next stop for your home improvement materials.

Located on West Broadway in Minneapolis, the ReStore is a retail outlet where quality new, like-new and surplus building materials are sold at discounted prices.  The revenue generated by the ReStore will serve more families in need of safe, decent and affordable homes.  While materials are typically donated by building supply stores, contractors, demolition crews or manufacturers, the ReStore also welcomes individual donations.

Not only do in-kind donations benefit the need for affordable housing, ReStore outlets are also environmentally friendly.  By donating surplus building supplies and materials, these reusable items are kept out of landfills.

There is a need for gently-used major electric appliances (less than five years old), including: washing machines, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, and microwaves.   The ReStore also accepts the following new items: vinyl, wood and laminate flooring, carpeting, hardware supplies, cabinets and vanities.

All in-kind donations to the ReStore are subject to approval by TCHFH staff.  For more information, contact the ReStore at 612-588-3820 or send email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
