Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity uses volunteer labor to build homes with low-income families. The warehouse uses volunteer labor to store and supply building materials for these efforts. We also use volunteers to repair tools and components, and maintain stock levels. Volunteer ImpactWarehouse Volunteers are essential in order for Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity to achieve its mission. Those who supply materials to the construction site play an important part in providing the opportunity for a family in need to have a decent and affordable place to call home. Skill QualificationsThere are no minimum skill requirements, just a willing attitude and an attention to detail. Age RequirementsThe minimum age to volunteer is 18. Time CommitmentWarehouse Volunteers make a long term commitment of six months to a year, devoting one day a week to perform on going tasks. Some may choose to concentrate on special projects when available. Volunteer opportunities run from 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday–Thursday. Opportunities for involvement are limited. Training and SupervisionVolunteers are required to attend an orientation with the Individual Volunteer Coordinator. Warehouse training will occur on site in a hands-on fashion under the supervision of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity Warehouse Staff members. Click here to sign up for a Volunteer Orientation. |
