The Bailey’s Arbor development will be incorporating some of the land’s past in its future community.  Until 1960, the land was owned by the Shilling family and used as a dairy farm.  They sold the land to Gordon Bailey Nursery, Inc., who then used the area for nursery production.  Bailey Nursery has distributed its products throughout the Northern U.S., Canada and Alaska.  Some plants that were grown on the land by Bailey Nursery – like spruce trees, pine trees, and ornamental shrubs – will be used throughout the Bailey’s Arbor development.

Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity (TCHFH) entered a four-way agreement between the City of Woodbury, Centex Homes and Arboretum Development to build on the property.  TCHFH was given plans and designs and is building its 30-units to reflect the design of the entire development.
