Service Immersion Facilitators help with the planning and execution of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity Service Immersion Days and other service-learning opportunities for youth volunteers. Service Immersion Days are usually on Saturdays and consist of a 1.5-hour orientation session, 6 hours of work on site, and a 1-hour reflection session. Responsibilities
Volunteer ImpactThrough this program, volunteers will challenge young people to examine their own assumptions and beliefs about service, housing, and poverty. Volunteers will also help them reflect on how their individual actions affect the wider community. This type of experience will provide young Habitat volunteers with the skills needed to contribute to our community for many years. SkillsMust be comfortable working with people ages 14–22 and have an energetic and open-minded attitude. Preferences include volunteers who have experience in managing groups, teaching, and/or possess knowledge of Habitat for Humanity and poverty issues. Time Commitment
