Matching Gifts

Employer matching gift programs are offered through thousands of companies that double or sometimes even triple individual, tax-deductible contributions made by their employees and retirees. Ask if your company has a matching gift program. If so, obtain a matching gift form from your personnel office, fill it out and send it along with your contribution. Matching gifts are counted toward individual Builder's Circle level.

Gifts of Stocks or Bonds

A charitable gift of stocks or bonds provides an opportunity for tax savings while generously sharing with others. A gift of stock owned for more than one year entitles you to a charitable deduction for the full market value at the time the gift is made.

The fastest and easiest way to make a gift of stock is to have your broker perform an electronic transfer. Contact our broker to initiate a gift of stock:

Bequests

Many of our supporters make their gifts by naming Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity as a beneficiary in their wills. Bequests to Twin Cities Habitat, as a charitable, not-for-profit institution, are fully deductible for estate tax purposes.
