A number of state officials will be in Chaska today at 11 a.m., for the awarding of a $1.4 million grant. The "Strategic Land Acquisition" award is being given to Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, at the site of the organization's development in Clover Ridge, 2840 Faulkner Drive. Minnesota First Lady Mary Pawlenty will attend, as well as Peter Bell, chair of the Metropolitan Council; Susan Haigh, president of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity; Timothy Marx, commissioner of the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency; and Chaska Mayor Gary Van Eyll.
