Habitat Blitz in Chaska (Chaska Herald) PDF Print E-mail

Centex Homes-Minnesota is joining with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity to build a home in Chaska as part of the 2008 Habitat for Humanity International Home Builders Blitz, from May 26 to June 6.

Twin Cities Habitat is among more than 110 Habitat affiliates building 263 homes over the course of the blitz build, according to a Habitat for Humanity press release.

“Partnering with professional home builders allows Habitat affiliates to increase the number of homes they build, while builders can help their community by doing what they do best,” stated Kevin Campbell, director of the national Home Builders Blitz program for Habitat for Humanity.

Locally, Centex gathered over 25 trade contractors and vendors to obtain materials and professional labor for the project. The blitz is the latest effort by Centex that has resulted in homes for over 30 families in the Twin Cities, the release stated.
