For more than 15 years, members of Calvary Lutheran Church in Golden Valley have helped alleviate substandard housing in the Twin Cities by building houses with Habitat for Humanity. This summer, they have help. Five area churches are joining more than 100 volunteers from Calvary to build a Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity home in Ramsey. Participating congregations include: Golden Valley Lutheran Church, Golden Valley; Holy Nativity Lutheran Church, New Hope; Elim Lutheran Church, Robbinsdale; House of Hope Lutheran Church, New Hope; and First Lutheran Church, Crystal.
