Summer 2010 Build Updates
Summer is always an exciting and busy season for Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. With the collaborative support of sponsors, donors and volunteers, Twin Cities Habitat is working on homes throughout the seven-county metro area. Committed to revitalizing neighborhoods affected by the foreclosure crisis, Twin Cities Habitat is supplementing new builds with rehabilitation projects in order to most effectively and efficiently serve the local community.

After a lead abatement delay, this St. Paul rebuild is now steadily progressing with plenty of rehab projects to keep site supervisor Katie Ulwelling and her crew busy. |

Led by Site Supervisor Anna Morrison, this build is a large rehabilitation project with a little bit of demolition and plenty of preservation and rebuilding. |

This home rehab project, although not as large as some of our rehabs in the area, still has a lot of work to be done before it will be ready for our homebuyers. |

Jordan (New Build)
Led by site supervisor David Michaelson, this construction site marks the first house Twin Cities Habitat will build in Jordan and is well on its way to becoming a new, welcoming home. |

This build is a significant rehabilitation project, and a majority of the home had to be demolished before the build process could even begin.

Despite the fickle weather the summer season has ushered in, construction for this new home in St. Paul is moving along well and should be finished by early August..

This new construction site joins eight other Habitat projects located throughout a neighborhood of new homes in Shakopee.

This new build marks Twin Cities Habitat’s second home in St. Francis this year, and in spite of June's many rainy days, the build is moving right along as the summer continues. |

White Bear Lake (New Build)
One of many Habitat projects in White Bear Lake, this new build is continuing right on track with the hard work of volunteer crews led by site supervisor Floyd Hanson.

This new build marks the second Habitat home for this suburban development in Brooklyn Park, which site supervisor Chad Formo expects to speed along just like its (nearly) complete neighbor. |

Although this North Minneapolis rehab requires several rebuilding projects (including raising the back roof to increase headroom), site supervisor Tony Beckstrom remains optimistic about the tasks ahead.
