Join us at Twin Cities Habitat’s next Book Club meeting as we gather at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts for a private “Book Tour” and discussion of Spirit Car: Journey to a Dakota Past. This memoir, by local author Diane Wilson, explores themes of home and displacement through the story of her family’s nomadic struggles during and after the 1862 Dakota War.
We are pleased to join groups from all over Minneapolis who have read this book as a part of the “One City, One Read” program. This unique Book Club meeting will include a tour through the museum, while a guide leads a lively discussion of works of art that relate to the themes in Spirit Car.
