Last night, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity’s Hearth & Hope members hosted a book discussion with author Kao Kalia Yang. Kalia shared some excerpts from her book The Latehomecomer: A Hmong Family Memoir, along with a reading from her soon to be published manuscript.
Events like the book discussion are why we created Hearth & Hope. Membership offers a variety of meaningful opportunities for women to gather and increase their understanding about how Habitat empowers female family partners, their daughters, our women volunteers and donors. We are committed to building the quality of life, health and economic prosperity of women in our community.
