Habitat for Humanity supporters make Hard Hat Gala huge success

Once again, our supporters have shown just how much they care about the mission of eliminating poverty housing in the Twin Cities and helping families build for the future. On April 20 at the St. Paul RiverCentre, more than 920 people came together and raised over $550,000 at the annual Hard Hat & Black Tie Gala!

Dressed in their fun and fashionable construction couture, they gave generously all night long. Warren and Mary Lynn Staley, the Co-Chairs of the World of Hope Campaign, spoke with the children of a family that'll be buying a Habitat home in Oakdale in May. The message that kids in Habitat homes can accomplish great things was the theme of this video that was shown to the audience.

Next year's Hard Hat & Black Tie Gala will be on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the St. Paul RiverCentre. Make sure you mark your calendar now so that you're at this wonderful party that's a little less formal and a lot more fun.

You can view pictures from the night on our Facebook page, which included a photo booth, flash mob, live and silent auctions, party games, dinner, dancing and music.

Thank you to all the people who made the Gala a great night of fun and fundraising.
