The Minnesota Twins and the Securian Financial proudly announced Patch with Purpose: a $100,000 annual donation to support five local nonprofits. In 2026, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity is honored to be one of the beneficiaries, alongside Boys & Girls Club of the Twin Cities, Special Olympics Minnesota, Junior Achievement North and Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities.

Patch with Purpose refers to the Securian Financial patch worn on every Minnesota Twins jersey since July 18, 2025. Along with financial support, the Twins and Securian are also providing promotional activations to amplify the work of the selected organizations.

On Sunday, May 17, 200 Habitat homeowners and staff members attended the Twins vs. Brewers game where Twin Cities Habitat was presented with a check for $20,000. Twin Cities Habitat President and CEO Chris Coleman also threw out the first pitch.

"The Patch with Purpose program reflects our commitment to serving in our community and to building secure tomorrows," said Tariq Malik, Director of Securian Financial. "In partnership with the Minnesota Twins, we are proud to support organizations that strengthen families, expand opportunity for youth, and help build vibrant communities across the Twin Cities. Together, we are elevating nonprofits that are making a lasting social impact."

"The Securian mark on our uniforms represents partnership, opportunity, and community stewardship – it truly is a patch with purpose. We are proud to celebrate local nonprofits and empower their work," said Nancy O’Brien, Twins Senior Vice President, Community Engagement.

The five nonprofits were chosen for their alignment with many Twins and Securian Financial core focus areas. This new program also enhances the impact of longstanding partnerships.

For Habitat homeowners and staff, the game on May 17 was an opportunity to connect with each other and share Habitat's mission and message with the rest of the ball park. Twin Cities Habitat provided bright blue rally towels for those in our section.

"Habitat Day at the Twins game was fun because it provided the overdue and well-needed opportunity to be with my family, as well as other Habitat homeowners who I've come to know and love," said LeAndra, a Habitat homeowner since 2019. "The timing was perfect as we were searching for an opportunity to also celebrate my second oldest daughter completing her carpentry program."
