Travelers framing second floor of St. Paul Habitat home

As Week Two draws to a close, volunteers from Travelers are working hard to frame the home’s second floor. Since our last visit, the outside walls have been sheathed with Styrofoam and the indoor first floor walls have been framed, reported Site Supervisor Josh Waylander.

Later this week and into next week, the roof trusses will be placed and subcontractors will begin their work on the

“It’s a good group,” Waylander said of Travelers. “They’ve been working really hard even though it’s been super hot.”

Travelers’ community support includes charitable grants, employee volunteerism, civic contributions and a commitment to the environment. Since 1990, Travelers has served as a true affordable housing advocate, committing more than 3,000 volunteers and 50,000 volunteer hours to sponsor and build 22 homes in the Twin Cities.
