In its tenth year, Entrepreneurs House is boasting
contributions from nearly 40 companies
The group has been working on roof trusses, reinforcing the basement and scaffolding and will continue to work on the South Minneapolis house until it is finished. The group is overwhelmingly full of energy and excitement even on cloudy or hot days.
Alicia, a Pearson employee, has been working with Entrepreneurs House for five years. When asked why she keeps coming back she said it's because she likes "to be outside and away from computers, plus I don’t have to go to kettlebell class today, because this IS my workout. And I get to help deserving people.”
Stacy Miller, the Coordinator from Pearson, says she likes "working with people in a way that you normally wouldn't in the office."
The neighborhood of the new home is great, it's close to transit lines, schools, parks and shopping. There are other families in the neighborhood and many of the volunteers live in the area (some even biked to the location!).
