Happy Give To The Max!

Written by Anna Skemp | 1:02 PM on November 1, 2019

November is here which means it’s time for Minnesota’s annual season of giving with Give to the Max, starting today through November 14!

We are thrilled to be kicking off November with Give to the Max and can't wait to embrace the community of generous Minnesotans.

If you're new to Minnesota, or are just starting to dip your toes into the charitable giving world, you may not be familiar with Give to the Max. Just as other organizations celebrate "Giving Tuesday" on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Minnesota has quickly adopted "Give to the Max Day", a day of giving to support local nonprofits and schools. What used to be one day of giving (with the option to schedule your gift prior to the actual Give to the Max day) has turned into two full weeks of giving!

This year, your gifts will go towards finishing the construction of 11 homes in St. Paul so 11 families can have the foundation of safe, stable, affordable homes. In May, we kicked off construction at a three-acre site on Maryland Avenue in the North End neighborhood. But we need your help laying the remaining foundations and finishing the homes.

When you make a gift, you buy the materials needed to build these homes.

Now is the best time to give—your gifts are DOUBLED thanks to a generous challenge gift from Dan Kuhl and Tien Cai. But this match is only available during the Give to the Max campaign now through November 14, 2019.

Want to do more? Step up as a Builder!

If you've already made a gift and want to do more, consider signing up to become a Habitat Builder! Habitat Builders help raise more money for Habitat by encouraging friends and family to make donations to their personal fundraising pages leading up to November 14. You can create a giving page in less than two minutes. As an added bonus, the two fundraisers who raise the most money will each receive a $150 credit to our Habitat Merchandise Store. Sign up today and thank you for fundraising!
