Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity is pleased to announce the renewal of major support from the Otto Bremer Trust to increase the number of low-income families gaining stable, affordable Habitat homes and to expand their choice of home location within the seven-county metropolitan area.

In December, the Trust awarded Twin Cities Habitat a two-year, $200,000 grant and a three-year, $1,000,000 program-related investment to move our new affordable Homeownership program design forward. The Otto Bremer Trust had helped fund a pilot initiative, which we adapted and are now applying to the overall program. The innovative approach will more than double the number of families able to buy Habitat homes.

In announcing the award, Co-CEO and Trustee of the Otto Bremer Trust Brian Lipschultz told Habitat, “This next phase of your work holds so much promise and we are thrilled to have been a part of it right from the start. This is good for our community.”

Twin Cities Habitat is excited about our growing relationship with the Otto Bremer Trust.

“This is an organization that is deeply committed to supporting Twin Cities Habitat’s mission,” says Sue Haigh, President of the affiliate. “The Otto Bremer Trust has been an extremely valuable partner as we’ve worked on expanding Habitat homeownership opportunities.”
