Virtual volunteer opportunities are a great way to stay involved and make a difference in the community while staying home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity is excited to announce our latest virtual volunteer position: the Habitat Hype Team Volunteer!
Read on to learn more about this virtual volunteer opportunity and keep in mind that Habitat also has plenty of in-person volunteer opportunities following COVID-19 safety protocols.
Hype volunteers engage with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity on social media by liking and sharing our post, and helping raise awareness of Twin Cities Habitat in your social networks.
Just about anyone! This is a social media based role, so volunteers do need to have access to social media, either via a computer or cell phone. It’s a great opportunity for volunteers who are already engaging with Twin Cities Habitat on social media or for those who are just starting to learn more about Habitat's mission and work within the community.
Hype Team volunteers should like/follow our social media channels, and you can like or share any of our posts that interest you. We also encourage you to create your own posts about Twin Cities Habitat's work and housing issues in our community.
This is a flexible position, so you can engage with Twin Cities Habitat’s social media channels as much as you want. We also recommend signing up for some of our e-newsletters that focus on specific topics. Here's a list of some you can subscribe to right now:
