    7:30 a.m.

    Arrive on site, chat with my site supervisor on the day's projects, and pull out tools from the shed.

    Morning safety talk.

    8:20 a.m.

    Volunteers arrive. My site supervisor and I give a talk about Habitat's mission, safety, and what the volunteers will get up to that day. Everyone gets started!

    10:00 a.m.

    Walk around the build site and help volunteers who are learning a new skill. No two days are the same. It could framing, drywall, insulation, painting - you name it!

    LUNCH! Today, the volunteer group brought a smorgasbord of food which they offer to share with me—and I gladly accept.

    12:30 p.m.

    I help facilitate a service learning curriculum called "Build. Think. Act." with the volunteers. We explore issues related to affordable housing.

    1:00 p.m.

    Back to work! Volunteers decide to switch up tasks, so I help a small group get comfortable doing their new projects for the afternoon.

    Quick break and chat with the volunteers. Getting to know volunteers and hearing their stories is my favorite part of the gig!

    3:30 p.m.

    Start to pack up and thank the volunteers. Before we leave, I help make sure everything's safe and secure on site.

    4:30 p.m.

    I meet up with a few other AmeriCorps Members back at the Habitat fourplex, where a bunch of us live. Then I get ready to do it all over again tomorrow!
