Everything You Need to Know for a Great Gala!
Are you ready for Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity's biggest party of the year? Our Hard Hat & Black Tie Gala is this...
We believe every family deserves a foundation to build a future on and a place to call home. That's why we're expanding homeownership opportunities and creating new partnerships in the community. Our goal is to build forward together to close the racial homeownership gap and create a more vibrant, equitable Twin Cities.
Take a look at some of the larger projects Twin Cities Habitat is working on as we build forward together.
17 new affordable townhomes are currently being built in the Harrison neighborhood of Minneapolis. This development includes 2- and 3-bedroom units and a 4-bedroom accessible unit. Each unit will have ENERGY STAR Building and Appliance Certification. The first Harrison Townhomes are ready to purchase fall 2023.
Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity and Mills Church are partnering to develop new permanently affordable ownership housing on 2+ acres of underutilized, church-owned property. Construction on the first home is underway and plans are being developed for up to 12 additional units of twin homes and townhomes.
Twin Cities Habitat is currently working with the St. Paul Port Authority and Sherman Associates in order to fully integrate the former Hillcrest Golf Course into medium-high density housing and commercial real estate. After construction finishes, we will have built 150 units in this area. This proposed plan is the largest of our recent endeavors. Construction is set to begin fall 2023.
11 high-quality, single-family homes on Maryland Avenue in St. Paul's North End neighborhood were completed in 2021. Twin Cities Habitat acquired the land from the City of St. Paul’s Housing and Redevelopment Authority in March 2017. Work began to develop the land for the homes in mid-April 2017.
8 homes were built in partnership with Shepherd of the Hill Presbyterian Church and Carver County Community Development Agency. Project funding came from the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency, Federal Home Loan Bank, Twin Cities Habitat in-kind materials, volunteer labor, and philanthropic support.
Twin Cities Habitat builds and rehabs a variety of types of homes, so our partner families can find a home that works best for them. Below are the types of homes we offer.
