Widowed mother of three buying new Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity Women Build home

Kick-off celebration for Women Build's first of two homes to be built in the Twin Cities this summer

What:
Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity Women Build volunteers will begin construction on a home for a hard-working, widowed, mother of three in West St. Paul. The kick-off event will include free coffee and bagels and a short program with special guest speakers.

When:
Monday, June 6, 2011 from 9am-10am

Background information:
Women Build recruits, educates and inspires women to build decent and affordable homes for low-income families in their communities. This will be the first of two homes that Women Build volunteers will construct in the Twin Cities this year. Work on the second home in Columbia Heights will begin in mid-August.

The major sponsors supporting Women Build locally this year are Wells Fargo; the Hugh J. Anderson Foundation; The Joyful Women Fund; WOLF @ Best Buy. Lowe’s is the National Partner for Habitat for Humanity International’s Women Build program.
