Veterans Initiative Sponsor
Thank you to The Home Depot Foundation for sponsoring Twin Cities Habitat’s Veterans Initiative!
Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity’s Veterans Initiative supports local Veterans through Habitat programs, and connects servicemembers more deeply with their communities.
In 2012, Twin Cities Habitat became the first nonprofit in the state to acquire Yellow Ribbon status – which means we are accredited by the VA to provide services to military families. Learn more at www.BeyondTheYellowRibbon.Org
Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity builds and rehabs homes throughout the seven-county metropolitan area. Habitat sells homes with an affordable, low-interest mortgage with a payment that is never more than 30% of a family’s monthly income at time of closing.

By volunteering with other Veterans on a regular basis, former military members regain a sense of purpose and develop supportive friendships. With the leadership skills they’ve gained in the military, they have a lot to offer to their communities.
