Volunteer Appreciation Week | Office Volunteers

Volunteer Appreciation Week | Office Volunteers

We know how hard it is to commit to a full day of volunteering. Work + school + family + other obligations = a busy schedule. While we depend on our construction, A Brush with Kindness, and ReStore volunteers to get work done, we also depend on our committed office volunteers.

Connie, office volunteerSome of our regular office volunteers have been volunteering with us for twenty years! These volunteers are hard-working, dedicated individuals who love Habitat’s mission and do what they can here at our main office. They help us at the front desk by answering phone calls and questions from walk-ins, stuff application envelopes, create project folders for all of our sites, and enter data into our volunteer database.

We also have several volunteers who are on our list of “On Call Office Volunteers.” These volunteers receive emails a couple of times each month, highlighting the different projects we’re looking for help with. Some of these projects have included making postcards for our Advocacy team, organizing files with our Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program staff, and creating art for our new building.

Office volunteers are required to have some weekday availability, during normal office hours (8:30am-5:00pm). If you are interested in getting involved as an office volunteer, email the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@tchabitat.org.
