Hi there, my name is Teri. I've currently been in my home going on 2 years and I can't thank Habitat enough. I have worked in the mortgage industry for over 8 years, so I knew what I was getting into before looking for a home. I stumbled across the open market program while looking into registering to volunteer for Habitat. I found that this non-profit organization doesn’t just assist low-income families and I do not need to put in sweat equity for a home. After researching further, I was hooked. I absolutely recommend the getting ready steps to this program.
Although I've worked in mortgage, I appreciated knowing that Habitat made sure I knew what I was signing up for and showing me methods and ways to keep my home. I am big on stability and providing a safe environment for me and my family. It took me almost a year to get financially fit and be able to get out of here and begin the search for my home and I have been overjoyed ever since I closed on my home. The open market gave me freedom to search without limits, find and obtain my own realtor. This program offers everything that any other company or bank I attempted to go through offers, but more importantly Habitat showed they cared. My team made sure I didn’t get into something I knew I couldn’t afford which is awesome. I want to be able to pass down the home ownership throne to my children and many more generations.
Thank you, Habitat!
