This past year, you helped Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity celebrate milestone moments and reach bold new goals.
You showed up for the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project, cheered on the public launch of our Build Forward Together Campaign, and powered record-breaking support for the mission. Together, we broke ground on our largest development ever, grew our groundbreaking Advancing Black Homeownership Program, and helped more families unlock the transformational power of home.
Because of your generosity, we're building forward together. Thank you.

Twin Cities Habitat was honored to host the 2024 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project—and it was nothing short of extraordinary. Altogether, 2,252 enthusiastic volunteers representing 38 states contributed a collective 27,749 hours to build homes, provide hospitality, and support events. 64 Habitat homeowners volunteered on site and shared their stories. Together, we advanced the construction of 30 new homes at The Heights— homes that will anchor families in stability and strengthen our community for years to come. Thanks to everyone who made this once-in-a-lifetime event a huge success!
After construction at The Heights began with fanfare at the Carter Work Project last fall, incredible progress has been made. Currently, 60 Habitat homes are under construction, almost half of the 147 Habitat homes that will make up this new sustainable neighborhood in Saint Paul’s Greater East Side. The development has also earned LEED Platinum for Communities certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, the highest award possible through the LEED rating system.
Future Habitat homeowners are touring the units and will begin moving in soon. It is a testament to the big-hearted and hardworking community that our largest development ever is rapidly taking shape.
