On a bright and purpose-filled morning in October, a dedicated group of volunteers gathered for Twin Cities Habitat For Humanity’s first-ever Realtor Build. This event gathered our Realtor community to share in a day of fellowship. Armed with paintbrushes and laminate flooring, these enthusiastic volunteers spent the day working on our Harrison Townhomes.
This affordable housing project, in partnership with City of Lakes Community Land Trust, brings 17 townhomes to the Harrison neighborhood of Minneapolis. With sleeves rolled up and spirits high, these Realtors’ collective efforts were a testament to their commitment not only to their profession but also to the noble cause of providing comfortable, uplifting spaces for those in need of affordable housing. Building these affordable housing units symbolizes the power of community support and improving lives through collective action.
Amid the productive hustle, volunteers continued to bond while refueling with delicious lunch from Soul Bowl. Discussions emerged about the vital relationship between Realtors and lenders. Attendees learned how to stay engaged with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity through social media and our Realtor Network. This collaborative event highlighted the importance of a robust alliance between Realtors and lenders, beautifully underscoring these relationships.
Realtor Build exemplified the transformative power of a fresh coat of paint and new flooring—and the strength found in collaboration within the ever-connected real estate ecosystem. Strong partnerships create meaningful change and foster vibrant, thriving communities. Thank you to everyone who came out and made Realtor Build a huge success! We can’t wait to build with you again.
