Day 6, Team 2 in Costa Rica

Guest Blog by Peter Kessler,
Global Village Team Member

Our last day in Buenos Aries and our site.

Though we’d completed work on our respective sites we spent the day visiting clients from previous years and then our current families.

You cannot overestimate the impact this work has over the week on our client families and ourselves in the group.  In one week’s time, our group had come together and in the coming days perfected our techniques and sunburns, while interacting with our family, who lived next door. Two-year-old Jaden wasn’t sure what to think of this strange group of people, but soon was the hit of the site. His mother, Carol, and grandmother, Flori, were there as well.

I was able to be along for a visit to a project previously done by other members of our group a few years back. We were greeted with open arms and they were just a beautiful family! It’s a powerful example of why we do this.

On the bus and back to Quepos for the night, and Manuel Antonio Park among other activities tomorrow.

My second trip and counting on next year!
