Help Us Keep Building: Give to the Max 2026

The need for affordable housing isn't slowing down, and neither are we. Across the Twin Cities, the dream of homeownership continues to be difficult to achieve. Rising home prices, construction costs, and everyday expenses are putting additional pressure on families who want a safe, stable, affordable place to call home.

But at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, we're not slowing down.

We're building new homes, repairing existing homes, and creating more opportunities for affordable homeownership across the seven-county metro. This Give to the Max, we're asking our community to help us keep building.

From now through November 19, gifts to Twin Cities Habitat will be matched dollar for dollar up to $100,000 thanks to a generous donation from Daniel Kuhl and Tien Cai. That means twice the impact toward creating and preserving affordable homes in our community.

Give to Keep Building

Building Momentum Across the Twin Cities

If you've driven past The Heights on Saint Paul's Greater East Side recently, you've likely noticed a former golf course is becoming a vibrant new neighborhood, with affordable homes, new neighbors, and opportunities for families to put down roots.

Twin Cities Habitat continues to build affordable homes at The Heights. Construction is underway, and families are already beginning to move into their new homes.

But our work extends far beyond The Heights.

Across the Twin Cities seven-county metro, Habitat is building, partnering with communities, and completing critical repairs that help existing homeowners remain safely in the homes they love. Here's a map of where we're currently building!
Build Map 2026

A few months ago, we broke ground on a new development in Minnetonka, and we're finishing up another development in Prior Lake. Not to mention the single-family homes we're building and repairing throughout the Twin Cities.

Each home represents something bigger than walls and a roof. It's a place where families can build financial stability, children can grow and thrive, and homeowners can create lasting connections in their communities.

And every home is made possible by people coming together.

The Cost of Building Keeps Rising

Building a home requires a dedicated construction crew and hardworking volunteers. It also requires the materials themselves: lumber, drywall, windows, doors, plumbing fixtures, electrical supplies, and countless other pieces.

Over the past several years, construction costs have increased, making it more expensive to build and repair. That's why community support is so important. Volunteers contribute thousands of hours of labor to help make Habitat homes possible. Financial contributions help us purchase the materials, tools, and resources needed to turn that volunteer effort into completed homes.

When you give to Twin Cities Habitat, you're helping turn construction materials into a home for a local family.

What Impact Can Your Gift Make?

Ever wonder what your donation can help with? Here's a look at the approximate cost of materials* Twin Cities Habitat uses in construction and repair.

Whether you give $50 or $500, every contribution helps us keep building. And during Give to the Max, your generosity goes even further!

Gifts are doubled through November 19, so a $50 donation becomes $100 in support, a $250 donation becomes $500, and a $1,000 donation becomes $2,000.

These gifts help put essential materials into the hands of our construction teams and volunteers, bringing us one step closer to completing another affordable home.

*Material costs are illustrative estimates and may vary by home and project. Donations support Twin Cities Habitat's broader affordable homeownership mission.

There's still so much work to do. More homes to build. More repairs to complete. More families working toward homeownership.

We have the dedicated staff, volunteers, homeowners, and community partners who make this work possible. With your support, we can keep moving forward.

This Give to the Max, help us keep building. Make your gift by November 19 and double your impact on affordable homeownership across the Twin Cities!
