Minneapolis - Low-income families throughout the Twin Cities metro area will benefit from a $325,000 grant Wells Fargo is making to Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. The Wells Fargo donation is part of $3 million in donations being made for 14 Habitat for Humanity affiliates to help stabilize local neighborhoods in 12 states.
“Habitat’s Resource Development, Neighborhood Revitalization and other build projects, rely on partnership with other organizations to address a variety of affordable housing problems,” said Susan Haigh, President and CEO of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. “With the support of partners like Wells Fargo, we are able to work with families and neighborhood organizations to help struggling communities thrive.”
“This donation is another example of how Wells Fargo has continued to support Habitat’s affordable housing work for nearly 20 years,” said Kimberly Jackson, executive director of the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation, which is part of Wells Fargo’s Leading the Way Home® effort to create affordable housing. “Together we have made a difference with low-income families who now have homes in which they can take great pride – a mission that Wells Fargo has always believed is important.”
With these donations, Wells Fargo has provided $9.1 million in support of Habitat for Humanity International’s Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative, which constructs, repairs and rehabilitates affordable housing with low-income families in markets hit hard by foreclosures.
